Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist senior mechanics in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and related components.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks (e.g., oil changes, filter replacements).
• Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Replace and install new parts, components, and accessories.
• Conduct inspections and testing to ensure vehicles/equipment meet safety and performance standards.

Requirements

• Relevant trade test certification (e.g., Diesel Mechanic)

• 2+ years of experience in diesel mechanics

• Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and vehicles

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From R5 894,85 per month

Education:

• High School (matric) (Preferred)

Experience:

• Mechanic: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Code B / Code C1 (Preferred)
