Mechanic

Duties

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and extend machinery lifespan
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble, disassemble, and repair various mechanical components
• Conduct heavy lifting as needed to handle large parts or machinery safely and effectively
• Follow safety protocols during all repair activities to maintain a safe work environment
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory
• Collaborate with team members to diagnose complex issues and develop effective solutions for equipment repair or replacement

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience reading schematics and technical diagrams
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes
• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance, repair procedures, and troubleshooting methods
• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs
• Prior experience working with industrial or heavy machinery is preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role

Pay: £33,000.00-£37,500.00 per year
