About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth and exciting times at our Western suburbs site, Rosmech is offering a permanent full-time position to join our dynamic team in Hoppers Crossing, Victoria .

A self-motivated, enthusiastic and reliable individual with a solid mechanical skill set who will use their valued experience and knowledge, coupled with on-the-job training is now eagerly being sought for our busy workshop.

Qualified mechanics are very welcome; however, the opportunity is also extended to applicants with plant mechanic or heavy vehicle mechanic or diesel fitter trade qualifications and experience.

About the Role

This full-time position based in Hoppers Crossing in the Western suburbs, Victoria, will be working in a small yet active team and will report to the Workshop Supervisor. The successful mechanic will be responsible for:

·         The completion of all required and scheduled service and repair work on various machinery on site

·         Diesel engine fault repairs and reconditioning

·         Diagnostics, troubleshooting and rectification of vehicle control system

·         Replacement or service/refurbishment of perishable/useful life or consumable machine components

·         Attendance to service calls when required

·         Operate in a self-managed manner

Great! What do I need to have to be successful?

·         Mechanic, Fitter or Auto Electrician qualification

·         Proficient mechanical knowledge and demonstrated auto-electrical, and hydraulic skills

·         At least two years’ relevant employment experience servicing and maintaining heavy or light diesel products

·         Drivers licence rated MR or higher and ability with manual vehicles

·         Commitment to maintain and adhere to safety guidelines

·         Ability to work autonomously whilst maintaining a company driven focus

·         A solution-finding approach

·         A sense of urgency and punctuality in your work, backed by a strong work ethic

·         A high customer service focus

·         Ability to work in, and contribute to a small team

·         Ability to pass a Pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol assessment
