Mechanic

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the performance and maintenance of various pieces of industrial machinery and tools.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and service on fleet equipment trucks , diesel compressors, pneumatic tools, light duty vehicles, trailers, forklifts, yard equipment and other mechanical items
• Candidate needs to familiar with engine and mechanical repair of the machinery listed above
• Coordinate with certified shops and repair centers for major repairs
• Prepare maintenance schedules on all equipment and service accordingly
• Ability to prepare service reports on repairs conducted within the shop
• Maintain an orderly shop with inventory of all related tools and fixtures
• Ability to work independently and adhere to rapid response for critical repairs
• Facility maintenance including light duty electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs
• Maintain parts inventory of appropriate parts
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and inventory area
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines
• Ability to travel to make field repairs in local area
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Some vocational or community college with related coursework preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
