Mechanic

• Job Title: Diesel Truck Mechanic / Heavy-Duty Truck Technician
• Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time CDL Truck Mechanic to perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections on commercial trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring trucks remain safe and road-ready.
• Specifics: Perform routine preventative maintenance on commercial trucks and diesel engines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues involving engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Perform oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and other scheduled maintenance.
• Inspect trucks to identify potential mechanical problems and safety concerns.
• Perform brake repairs and other necessary repairs to maintain safe operating conditions.
• Troubleshoot engine performance issues and repair or replace defective components.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
• Ensure all repairs are completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow applicable DOT safety requirements and company maintenance procedures.
• Previous experience repairing and maintaining diesel trucks or heavy-duty commercial vehicles required
• Knowledge of diesel engines, truck systems, and diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to use mechanic tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Diesel mechanic certification is preferred but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Part-time hours with a flexible schedule.
• Days and hours to be discussed based on business needs and availability.
• Opportunity for additional hours as needed.
• Experience with manual and automatics. Class A and B. Occasional work on heavy equipment or bus.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
