Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals
• Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Assemble new equipment or parts according to specifications
• Perform heavy lifting as required for the movement and installation of large components
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
• Assist with troubleshooting complex mechanical problems to minimise downtime
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and organisational policies
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients or internal teams regarding repair status and recommendations

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge across a range of machinery and systems
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
• Experience in assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of mechanical systems
• Ability to perform equipment repairs efficiently under pressure
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures and best practices in industrial settings
• Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Pay: £26,600.00-£53,800.00 per year
