Duties

• Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings to accurately diagnose issues and plan repairs
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs, assembly, and maintenance tasks efficiently
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns
• Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality expectations
• Assist with heavy lifting and moving of equipment using appropriate techniques and tools
• Perform welding repairs on metal structures or parts as needed to restore integrity
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for accountability and future reference

Experience

• Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar hands-on technical role involving equipment repair and maintenance
• Strong mechanical knowledge across various machinery types and systems
• Familiarity with reading schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues
• Customer service mindset when interacting with team members or clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs

Pay: £25,420.00-£52,020.00 per year
