Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in equipment repair, particularly with heavy machinery. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The Mechanic will work on various types of machinery, including cranes and forklifts, and must be familiar with schematics and technical manuals.

Duties

• Diagnose mechanical issues in equipment and machinery.
• Perform repairs on heavy equipment, including diesel engines and air brake systems.
• Operate heavy machinery safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Collaborate with other technicians to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or Service Technician in a similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair.
• Proficient in the operation of heavy equipment, including cranes and forklifts.
• Familiarity with diesel engine repair and air brake systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
