Mechanic

Mechanic – Monday to Friday, No Weekends
Our client, a well-established Tauranga car dealership representing leading brands, is looking for an experienced Mechanic.
The Role
You'll work across a varied mix of new and late-model vehicles, from routine servicing through to more involved mechanical work. Day to day, you'll:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a consistently high standard
• Take on more involved engine, transmission and driveline repairs with confidence
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
• Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and service information
• Complete accurate job cards and keep the Service Manager and advisors updated on progress
• Work safely and keep the workshop clean, organised and efficient

What We're Looking For

• A Level 4 Automotive Trade Qualification, plus at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience
• Strong practical, nuts-and-bolts mechanical experience
• Sound diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Pride in your workmanship and a reliable, practical approach
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• WOF Inspector certification is preferred but not essential
