VACANCY - TEMP MECHANIC / CODE 14 DRIVER

Yugo Roofing is looking for a reliable and experienced Mechanic / Code 14 Driver to join our team on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnose mechanical faults on trucks and diesel-powered vehicles.

· Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance.

· Service and repair turbochargers, exhaust systems, and emissions components.

· Conduct vehicle inspections and road tests to verify repairs.

· Perform lubrication, oil, filter, coolant, and fluid changes.

· Identify safety-critical defects and recommend corrective action.

· Complete inspection reports, maintenance records, and parts requests.

· Attend to breakdowns and roadside repairs when required.

· Safely operate Code 14 heavy vehicles in accordance with road and company regulations.

· Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or safety concerns.

· Perform basic mechanical repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues where required.

· Ensure vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, and in good working condition.

· Complete all required vehicle and trip documentation.

· Assist with loading, deliveries, collections, or other operational duties as required.

· Adhere to all company health, safety, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Diesel Mechanic trade certificate
• Valid Code 14 / EC Driver’s Licence.
• Relevant licenses for goods, where applicable.
• Proven experience driving heavy-duty vehicles.
• Clean driving record.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Able to work flexible hours when required.

Advantageous

• Experience with trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles.
• Previous experience in a transport, logistics, construction, and / or hardware environment.
