Mechanical & Electrical Engineer, Main Construction

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and verify M&E works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant authority requirements
• Review M&E installation works and coordinate rectification of any non-compliance with subcontractors
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve M&E technical and site issues promptly
• Monitor M&E site progress and follow up on outstanding works to minimise delays to project schedules
• Attend project and technical meetings with the owner, consultants and project stakeholders to discuss and resolve M&E matters
• Coordinate M&E works with other trades to ensure smooth site execution and minimise clashes or interface issues
• Review site conditions, drawings and technical requirements to identify potential issues and support timely resolution
• Work closely with the safety team to ensure M&E activities are carried out within the required safety framework
• Support permit-to-work processes and ensure relevant site requirements are followed
• Maintain proper records of M&E site activities, inspections, technical issues and rectification works
• Perform other M&E project and site-related duties as assigned

What we're looking for

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
• 2 - 5 years of experience in in M&E engineering, building services, site supervision or construction project coordination
• Familiarity with M&E drawings, specifications, installation requirements and site coordination
• Knowledge of relevant local authority requirements and construction standards will be advantageous
• Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to address technical and site issues promptly
