The Role
Lead coordinator for mechanical and electrical design, drawings and Bill of Quantities with other related trades including architecture, civil & structure, and BIM. Responsible for M&E scope of works including ACMV, Sanitary Plumbing, Cold Water Plumbing, Fire Protection & Alarm Detection, CCTV, cabling & cable tray, low voltage reticulation, incoming power supply, street lighting, lightning protection, and Building Management System. Design works for electrical infrastructure especially streetlight and traffic light related works.

Key responsibilities

• Lead coordinator for mechanical and electrical design, drawings and BQ with other related trades
• Responsible on M&E scope of works including ACMV, Sanitary Plumbing, Cold Water Plumbing, Fire Protection & Alarm Detection, CCTV, cabling & cable tray, low voltage reticulation, incoming power supply, street lighting, lightning protection, Building Management System
• Design works for electrical infrastructure especially streetlight and traffic light related works
• Preparation of M&E cost estimate based on design
• Prepare and review drawings against Bill of Quantities for accuracy
• Liaise with client, consultants, sub-contractors, authorities inclusive of inspection, site visit and testing
• Prepare, coordinate and execute M&E works documentations such as method statement, shop drawing, Factory Acceptance Test, testing requirements, as-built documentation and O&M Manual
• Plan works for M&E trades of daily & weekly progress targets based on short-term details schedule
• Monitor the overall M&E works progress, work scheduling, manpower and material schedules
• Plan, supervise and coordinate M&E works at site including procurement, installation, testing and commissioning and conduct quality inspection and control

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• At least 2-3 years working experience at site in handling and coordinating mechanical & electrical-related projects
• Experience in Street Light, Traffic Light, Toll Collection System and Traffic Control Surveillance System is an advantage
• Fast, efficient, productive & able to multi-task with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organisational skill including the ability to analyse tasks and prioritise
• High level of flexibility and ability to adapt to quick changing of priorities
• Able to do works on AutoCAD and Microsoft Project
• Able to do night work and travel outside of KL for project delivery
• Experience in external electrical infrastructure design works
