Mechanical & Electrical Site Supervisor/Project Engineer (Solar System)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Engineer / Site Supervisor to join OMNIGRID PVMAS SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Balakong, Selangor, where you will play a crucial leadership role on our construction sites. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role is integral to the successful delivery of our construction projects and requires someone with strong organisational skills, proven supervisory experience, and a commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities on site, ensuring all work is completed according to project specifications and timelines
• Monitor site safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Manage site personnel, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance management of construction workers and trades
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions promptly
• Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and effective project coordination
• Maintain accurate site records, including timesheets, daily reports, and progress documentation
• Manage material and equipment on site, ensuring proper storage, handling, and utilisation
• Identify training needs and support the professional development of site team members
• Report on site progress, challenges, and achievements to management on a regular basis

What we're looking for

• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations in Malaysia

• Proven experience in managing teams and personnel in a construction environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications

• Competency in using site management software and Microsoft Office applications

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to different project sites as required

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
