Mechanical Application Engineer – Job Responsibilities

• Review and interpret customer drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and STEP files.
• Verify drawing dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) requirements.
• Check and confirm material specifications according to customer requirements.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Source and select suitable standard components.
• Verify purchased components and items against approved drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding technical specifications, quotations, and product requirements.
• Provide technical support for RFQ (Request for Quotation) preparation.
• Coordinate production activities with subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.
• Assist with First Article Inspection (FAI) and preparation of relevant quality documentation.
• Work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Must be able to understand, read, write, and communicate fluently in Mandarin language.
• Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in plastic manufacturing or engineering environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawings.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of CAD software is an advantage.
