Mechanical Assembler - 2nd Shift

MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER - 2nd Shift DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mold Processing Support: Completing the resin fill, oven processing, demolding, mold cleaning, and material movement required to return molds to the loading station
• Work with fasteners such as bolts, screws, rivets, nuts, helicoils, inserts, and adhesives
• Align and fit sub and structural assemblies by installing and connecting parts, fittings, and assemblies
• Cut, trim, file, bend, and smooth parts, and verify sizes and fitting tolerances in order to ensure proper fit and clearance
• Use basic hand tools, i.e., screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, ratchets & sockets, ruler, calipers
• Works within small team/group

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of previous mechanical assembly experience, preferably working with Aerospace products
• Self Starter
• Ability to work with little to no instruction and supervision
• Previous machine shop work practices background preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or heavier.
