Mechanical Assembler

Our client is seeking a motivated Valve Assembly Operator to join their workshop team based in Wangara.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for assembling, testing and inspecting valve and flow control equipment, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test valves, actuators, positioners and associated flow control equipment
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions
• Conduct inspections, testing and basic fault-finding to ensure products meet quality standards
• Safely operate workshop equipment, hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment
• Complete quality, testing and production documentation accurately
• Assist with stock control and inventory processes where required
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment

Your Profile

• Previous experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, repair or testing of industrial equipment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely
• Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Current Forklift Licence

Desirable

• Mechanical trade qualification or equivalent industry experience

• Experience working with valves, actuators, pumps or other industrial process equipment

• Exposure to manufacturing, maintenance, service or workshop environments
