THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembler / Fitter to join our Manufacturing team. This is a full-time permanent workshop-based role offering long-term stability, ongoing training, and the opportunity to work on unique projects from start to finish. **please note this is not a boilermaker role

Working within a supportive team environment, you will assist in the assembly and fit-out of containerised water treatment systems including pumps, filters, tanks, pipework and associated equipment.

This role would suit someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit out water treatment systems and associated equipment
• Install pumps, filters, tanks, brackets and associated pipework[DO1]
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics
• Conduct pressure testing and quality checks
• Work collaboratively with Electrical Technicians, the wider Manufacturing team[DO2] , internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop
• Assist with site installations and commissioning when required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Mechanical assembly, plumbing or similar trade experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Current Driver’s Licence

Highly Regarded

• Forklift Licence
• Poly welding experience
• Rigging & Dogging tickets
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly or water treatment industries
