About the Role

As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a vital role in constructing complex electrical distribution equipment by interpreting technical schematics and utilizing precision hand tools. Your contributions directly impact the reliability of our products, ensuring that every unit meets rigorous quality standards and performance benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and configure switchgear components by accurately interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify and rectify assembly discrepancies, ensuring optimal product functionality.
• Maintain a high-standard, organized workspace to promote efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
• Execute standard work instructions to ensure consistent quality and mitigate potential production risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline assembly processes and improve overall throughput.
• Utilize power tools and specialized equipment to meet daily production targets while maintaining strict safety compliance.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and utilizing measurement tools, including tape measures with metric/imperial conversions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working at heights using appropriate safety gear.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and standard safety practices.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience specifically with switchgear or high-voltage electrical assembly.
• Relevant safety certifications or technical training.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and evolving production processes.
