Mechanical Design Engineer (3D CAD modelling and 2D engineering drawings)

Mechanical CAD Designer Needed | Assembly Design & Engineering Drawings

We're looking for experienced Mechanical CAD Designers to create original mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for an ongoing project.

Job Requirements

• Experience designing mechanical assemblies consisting of 8–10 parts each
• Proficiency in Solidworks or FreeCAD or Fusion 360
• Strong mechanical fundamentals, including fits, clearances, fasteners, bearings, springs, and basic kinematics
• Ability to create fully constrained assemblies with clean modeling history, proper part naming, and assigned materials
• Ability to work independently from reference images and short design briefs
• Fast turnaround and capacity to handle consistent volumes of work
• All geometry must be modeled from scratch. No downloaded CAD models or AI-generated geometry. Standard fasteners from the CAD software's built-in library are permitted if declared.

Required Deliverables

• Native CAD files with editable feature history
• STEP AP214 assembly export (accurate 1:1 geometry)
• Isometric render and part list
• 2D engineering drawings, including an assembly sheet and individual component sheets (PDF + native files)

Preferred Experience

• Mechanical and electromechanical product design
• Sheet metal and plastic part design
• GD&T, machine design, or manufacturing
