• Design & Modeling: Build 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings using software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
• Analysis & Simulation: Perform stress, thermal, and dynamic analyses (FEA) to verify product safety and performance.
• Prototyping & Testing: Oversee physical prototype development, run virtual experiments, and troubleshoot design flaws.
• Material & Tolerance Selection: Choose appropriate metals, plastics, or composites and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Manufacturing Coordination: Work alongside production teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure designs are cost-effective and easy to build.
• Documentation: Write technical specifications, operational manuals, and design review reports.
