Mechanical Design Engineer

Inorail are the National distributor for Inoxihp Mining Pumps, SMTScharf rail bound transport/ handling systems specialising in supply and maintenance of longwall pump systems and monorails into the underground coal mining sector.

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer for an immediate start to join our dynamic team in Rutherford NSW.

The Position: Mechanical Design Engineerreporting to the Engineering Manager

Qualifications: Must have Minimum Diploma of Mechanical Engineering

Experience/Knowledge

Industry experience in Underground Longwall Coal Mining is highly regarded

• Conversant with Autodesk Inventor design software
• Bill of Material population
• Detail drawings
• Component identification, selection and source
• Data Sheet completion
• Application of International, National and Company Standards
• Change Management control
• General Arrangement and Assembly drawings
• Produce assembly instructions
• Maintenance drawings and diagrams
• Spare part identification
• Design to meet Production Scheduling requirements

Essential Skills

• Calculations for load/stress/fatigue
• Design Analysis to component level
• Specification Compliance Documentation
• Produce As-Built documents for customer approval
• Have a high attention to detail and well developed problem solving skills
• Ability to use calibrated measuring equipment to check incoming hardware against drawings
