Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Overview:

Responsible for designing and developing IC Test Socket by considering customer requirement, product functionality, cost, and machinability.

Responsibility:

• Apply engineering principles to draft, design, modify and develop new products.

• Create and design product specifications based on customer requirements.

• Evaluates product functionality, strength, cost, and machinability.

• Project coordination to meet customer expectations and product specifications.

• Manage design activities from planning phase to final acceptance.

• Prepare design documentation and attend design review with production side and top management.

• Prepare fabrication drawing for the fabrication process.

• Evaluates feedback from manufacturing site (fabrication and assembly process) to improve machinability and cost.

• Verify the product is assemble and functioning according to specifications.

• Find root cause and countermeasure for design failure/error to improve design quality.

• Generate continuous improvement (Kaizen) for the design process.

Provide continuous support/responsibility to the product even it is already ship to the customer.

Competencies:

• Strong knowledge in engineering design and engineering drawing.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong in problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work in minimum supervision.

• Strong communication skill (English & Bahasa).

• Experience to use CAD software (CREO & SolidWorks preferred) is an added advantage.

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Graduate with CGPA 3.0 and above.
