Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in mechanical design, sheet metal, and low-voltage/medium-voltage equipment.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor and Vault
• 5+ years of Mechanical Design experience
• Experience with Low Voltage / Medium Voltage equipment preferred
• Strong Sheet Metal Design experience, particularly support structures and copper components
• Experience with UL 891 standards
• Experience with Tap-off Units, Power Distribution Units (PDU), Remote Power Panels (RPP), and Main Switch Boards (MSB)
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Create and maintain detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and assemblies
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop practical, manufacturable solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field
• 4–7 years of relevant mechanical design experience
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

Work Arrangement: Onsite – Henrico, Virginia
Contract: 12 months, with potential for extension

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
