Job Purpose:

Support the preparation of design packages for chiller plant process under close

supervision. Contribute to the delivery of engineering designs while developing

foundational knowledge in codes, tools, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed design drawings and models.
• Assist in preparation of feasibility studies under close supervision.
• Execute design calculations with accuracy and verify compliance with relevant codes.
• Collaborate with other disciplines (architecture, structures, electrical, telecom, interior) to resolve clashes and align outputs.
• Prepare requirements to trade (structural loads, openings, electrical requirements, etc..)
• Support the preparation of technical reports and design submittals.
• Attend client coordination meetings alongside senior engineers when required.
• Maintain quality across documentation and flag inconsistencies proactively.
• Contribute to cost and quantity estimation activities based on evolving designs.
• Respond to RFI and design queries during construction stage under supervision.
• Track and manage document revisions within the project document control system.
• Maintain accountability for deadlines and deliverables across assigned workstreams.
• Actively monitoring the healthiness of BIM modeling.
• Utilizing the Design tools that integrates with the BIM workflow.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline.
• 3 years of experience in multidisciplinary design projects.
• Proficient in tools such as Revit, Navisworks; knowledge of international and regional standards is an asset.

• Awareness of sustainable design principles (e.g., LEED, Estidama) is desirable.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Certified HVAC designer (CHD) – is a Plus.
