Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, and manufacturing of custom mechanical components and assemblies for a diverse range of customers. This role will work closely with customers and internal manufacturing teams to transform engineering drawings, specifications, and concepts into high-quality, manufacturable products.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain MRP / ERP data relating to Engineering.
• Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and equipment.
• Fixture / tooling design.
• Sheet metal design / build to print.
• Build to print manufacturing.
• Create engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, or Inventor).
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies.
• Conduct testing and analyze performance to improve product reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to ensure successful product development.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation.
• Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources when required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, and Inventor.
• Experience reading and interpreting Engineering drawings.
• 3-5 years of experience with an emphasis in design and manufacturing.
• MRP / ERP experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and thermodynamics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with engineering standards and quality management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Sheet metal design.
• GD&T experience.
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA).
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

Pay: $86,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
