Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptual Design and Development: Collaborate with the product development team to conceptualize and design mechanical systems, components, or products based on project requirements.
• 3D Modelling and CAD: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings of mechanical designs
• Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to validate and optimize designs.
• Material and Component Selection: Identify appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes to meet design specifications, cost targets, and quality standards.
• Prototyping and Testing: Coordinate the fabrication and testing of prototypes to validate design concepts, identify potential issues, and gather performance data.
• Design Documentation: Prepare detailed design documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and assembly instructions.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing personnel, to ensure effective collaboration and integration of mechanical designs into the overall product development process.
• Manufacturing Support: Provide support to manufacturing teams during production, addressing design-related issues, and implementing design changes as necessary.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in mechanical design.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, automation, or a related field.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Good communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Willing to travel or work on-site when required.
