Mechanical Design Engineer

Software Development

1. Design, develop, and test software applications for controlling material handling systems in wafer probers.
2. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using appropriate programming languages and development tools.
3. Develop algorithms and control logic for precise and efficient material handling operations.

System Integration

1. Integrate software solutions with hardware components and systems to ensure seamless operation.
2. Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to design interfaces and protocols for communication between software and hardware components.
3. Conduct integration testing to validate system functionality and performance.

Performance Optimization

1. Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement.
2. Implement optimizations to enhance the efficiency, speed, and reliability of material handling processes.
3. Conduct simulations and testing to validate performance enhancements.

Collaboration and Communication

1. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, systems engineers, and product managers, to ensure cohesive system design and functionality.
2. Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders and team members.

Quality Assurance

1. Implement and maintain best practices for software development, including version control, testing, and documentation.
2. Ensure that software meets industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
3. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential issues.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

1. Stay updated with the latest advancements in software development and material handling technology.
2. Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in software solutions.
3. Implement feedback from field tests and customer use to refine and enhance software products.
4. Conceptualize, develop and design Automation/Semiconductor Equipment according to customer’s specification requirements.
5. Design material handling systems and components for wafer probers, including wafer loading, unloading, transport, and alignment mechanisms.
6. Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and 3D models using CAD software.
7. Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to validate design concepts and performance.
8. Create detailed design specifications and documentation.
9. Generate and maintain detailed bill of materials (BOM)
10. Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings
11. Participate actively in assembly, integration, installation operation and troubleshooting of equipment.
12. Develop design verification test plans and reports.
13. Responsible for equipment specifications & buy off.
14. Produce 2D and 3D drawings, document all design work & BOM list.
15. Able to keep to project schedule and resolve design issues in a timely manner.
16. Work with a cross-functional team to achieve project objectives.
