We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and components. You will work closely with mechanical, electrical, automation, fabrication, assembly and sales teams to ensure that our designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine mechanical designs for new products and systems.
• Utilize 3D and 2D cad software (Inventor and Autocad)  for design and modeling.
• Create detailed design documentation, including manufacturing drawings, components specifications, BOMs
• Perform simulations and analyses to assess performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to assure equipment is manufactured in accordance to designs, and feedback and information flows back to the design department
• Lead and participate in design reviews of new and developing equipment
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred but not required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design
• Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD software (JMP uses Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a “can do” attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous trade experience would be a benefit
