Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join MHI Power Technical Services Corporation. This is a full-time position based in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will join our engineering team as a key technical resource responsible for the successful procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and machinery. You’ll work closely with vendors, project owners, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical requirements are met, resolve project challenges, and keep site activities on track for safe and efficient project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review vendor drawings for mechanical equipment and machinery
• Prepare technical specifications for the procurement of mechanical equipment and machinery
• Review vendor technical specifications for mechanical equipment and machinery
• Supervise installation of mechanical equipment and machinery
• Supervise the commissioning of mechanical equipment and machinery
• Resolve conflicts and align requirements among project owners, vendors, machinery teams, and other engineering disciplines
• Coordinate site activities and resolve issues among stakeholders

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, PRC licensed preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• General knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems related to mechanical equipment and machinery
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Japanese language proficiency is preferred but not required
