Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a background in Metal Manufacturing, SolidWorks, and Tool Design. You will be responsible for developing fixtures, analyzing mechanical assemblies, and leading process improvement projects. If you have experience with DFM/DFA and a commitment to safety and quality in a manufacturing environment, we’d love to connect.

• Hands-on skills to build and assemble jigs, work cells, and custom equipment
• Provide your expertise to multiple departments of varying technical knowledge

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and test machining jigs, fixtures, and gauges
• Propose ways to reduce costs and maximize quality
• Update manufacturing drawings to improve clarity and reflect as-built condition
• Support product development with design changes and improvements
• Collaborate with other engineers, contractors and suppliers
• Control SolidWorks models and produce machine drawings
• Design and analyze mechanical components parts and assemblies
• Analyze and improve processes
• Participate in design reviews with an eye for DFM and DFA
• Project manage improvement projects
• Assist in developing robotics and automated solutions

Qualifications:

• Self-starter
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, and tool design
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
• Commitment to health and safety
• SolidWorks proficient
• Mechanical hands-on skills
• Manual milling, turning, drilling, fitting, fabrication & assembly

Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm | Monday - Friday

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
