Mechanical Engineer – Phoenix, AZ

Position Overview

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design, preferably within an MEP consulting or building systems environment. The ideal candidate will have experience designing HVAC systems for commercial and institutional projects, preparing construction documents, performing load calculations, and coordinating with electrical, plumbing, and architectural teams.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial building projects.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection.
• Prepare mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, energy standards, and industry regulations.
• Support construction administration, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in MEP consulting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Experience with HVAC design, load calculations, and mechanical system layouts.
• EIT certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
