Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components and systems and will work closely with cross-functional teams. Deliver innovative and efficient mechanical solutions that meet project and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide design solutions that meet customers' requirements within the budget.
• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for fabrication and assembly.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable.
• Review and revise existing designs to improve performance, reduce costs, or address quality issues.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers for component selection and technical support.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Involved in machine assembly, troubleshooting, as well as on-site setup and commissioning.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).
• Knowledge of engineering materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with design standards (e.g., GD&T, ISO) and FMEA tools (e.g., ANSYS) is an advantage.
• Junior engineers are encouraged to apply.
