Job Description: This role supports the design, operation, and continuous improvement of critical mechanical and facility systems, including HVAC, cleanroom environments, and chilled water infrastructure, to ensure reliable, safe, and compliant operations for the client's engineering and manufacturing functions.

Job Summary

• Support the design, operation, commissioning, optimization, and troubleshooting of critical mechanical and facility systems, including HVAC, cleanroom systems, chilled water, AHUs, and related infrastructure.

• Support facility planning, infrastructure upgrades, capital projects, and special projects from concept development and design through implementation, commissioning, and project closeout.

• Develop and execute testing, commissioning, and validation activities; perform technical analysis and root-cause investigations to enhance system reliability, efficiency, safety, and maintainability.

• Support the operations of cleanroom environments and critical equipment, including chillers and AHUs, while maintaining required environmental conditions and compliance standards.

• Conduct equipment and facility walkdowns, condition assessments, and system reviews; participate in design reviews and provide engineering recommendations covering functionality, reliability, safety, and long-term performance.

• Partner with Facilities, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Safety, and Quality stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions that meet applicable codes, cleanroom standards, and safety and quality expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience, or 15+ years of equivalent experience without a degree.

• Experience with mechanical system design and testing, including electro-mechanical or precision systems, in laboratory, cleanroom, or development environments.

• Hands-on experience with air handling units, chillers, and HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

• Proficiency in CAD and mechanical assembly documentation, with understanding of design for manufacturability principles.

• Strong engineering fundamentals, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to electrical systems or controls in a mechanical engineering context.

• Experience supporting capital projects, construction, or infrastructure upgrades from concept through commissioning.

• Background working with manufacturing vendors and supporting hands-on, iterative design improvement.
