Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Goldsboro, NC. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on mechanical design, working cross-functionally, and supporting products from concept through production. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Create and modify engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation.
• Support projects from initial concept through design, testing, and production.
• Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.
• Troubleshoot design and production-related issues.
• Review designs for functionality, manufacturability, and performance.
• Support continuous improvement and product development initiatives.
• Ensure designs meet applicable customer and engineering requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field preferred.
• Experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD/design software.
• Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.
• Aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or other highly engineered product experience is a plus.
