Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Chakan. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing material handling systems and related equipment, including conveyors and automation solutions, in line with client specifications and industry standards. Daily tasks include creating and updating CAD models and detailed engineering drawings, performing design calculations, and collaborating with project, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure design feasibility and cost effectiveness. The role involves participating in design reviews, preparing technical documentation and BOMs, and supporting the transition from design to production and commissioning. The Mechanical Design Engineer will also assist in troubleshooting design-related issues on-site and contribute to continuous improvement of products and design processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong core Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design skills, including understanding of mechanics, strength of materials, and industrial machinery.
• Candidates should possess Design Engineering and Product Design skills to develop practical, manufacturable solutions for material handling and automation applications.
• Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for 3D modeling and 2D drafting using industry-standard CAD software.
• Candidates should possess skills in interpreting engineering standards, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant qualifications include a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, experience in material handling or industrial equipment design, and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
• Additional beneficial skills include knowledge of conveyor systems, automation integration, basic understanding of electrical and controls interfaces, problem-solving ability, and strong communication and time management skills.
