Mechanical Designer

PREVCO Subsea, LLC is a subsea engineering consultancy, specializing in submersible pressure vessels, instrumentation housings, junction boxes, underwater camera housings, pressure relief valves and other subsea enclosures and accessories. Our customers are involved with tremendously interesting projects that may include subsea autonomous vehicles, various military projects, subsea search and survey, subsea control stations and similar.

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer with 10+ years of relevant design experience focused on machine design components and assemblies. Degree(s) in design and drafting technology or mechanical engineering technology are a plus. Candidate should have experience in SolidWorks and should be a self-starter.

Day to day responsibilities include:

· Solid model generation and drawing development of parts and assemblies

· Checking drawings created by others and providing critical feedback

· Investigate supplier catalogs for interface dimensions and solving design problems that arise

· Supporting on occasion PREVCO shop with assembly and testing of hardware

· Help with creation of new and updating existing PREVCO engineering/design standards

· GD&T experience and properly dimensioning engineering drawings

· Ability to interact with machine shop when non-conformance arise

Required Computer Skills:

· Experience (5+ yrs) using SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, and Drawings)

· Microsoft Excel

· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

The ideal candidate needs to be able to work well with others in a cooperative manner and provide positive reinforcement, be able to engage with other departments within the company that works as a team.

Required experience:

· Relevant designer experience – 10+ years. 5+ years relevant SolidWorks experience

Required license or certification:

· US Citizenship or permanent resident (green card) required. No Visas.

Required education:

· Associates degree or higher. Will consider relevant experience in lieu of a degree

Must be willing to submit to background checks.

The location is Fountain Hills Arizona, USA, which is just east of Scottsdale, Arizona.
