Title: Mechanical Designer

Location: Tonawanda, NY

Fulltime Permanent

SALARY RANGE: $65,000-75,000+ Bonus

JOB SUMMARY

Primary Responsibilities:

• Works alongside mechanical engineers to create and modify part and assembly models in 2D and 3D and generate and modify 2D drawings based on these models.
• Maintain structured bills of material and parts lists for assemblies.
• Reviews drawings for layout, completeness, accuracy, constructability, and adherence to internal design/drafting standards.
• Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of internal design/drafting standards.
• Ensures that designs are consistent with internal standards, project technical requirements and scope.
• Checks assigned drawings supplied by vendors, clients and other discipline groups throughout the project to ensure quality designs.
• Ensures quality, quantity, and completeness of the assigned design tasks.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Associates degree or higher in Drafting & Design Technology, Engineering Graphics or Engineering Technology preferred
• Well organized with ability to schedule own workload.
• Ability to comprehend, understand design concepts for large industrial equipment for pharmaceutical and like applications.
• As key member of Project Team may be required to interact with customers and various internal/external personnel.
• Acts with integrity in all elements of responsibility.
• Consistently observe and promote Safety Health Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) site requirements.

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A GREAT FIT:

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault
• Experience with P+ID and process piping
• Experience working with pressure vessels
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Openness to travel (domestic or international)
