Mechanical Designer

Alien Engineered Products is an ASME-certified fabricator of pressure vessels, tanks, manifolds, structural skids, and sheet metal enclosures for Fortune 500 customers in mining, energy, and food & beverage. We're looking for a designer who wants to see their drawings become finished equipment, and who wants to learn from the shop floor while they do it.

Schedule: Full-time, four 10-hour days, Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. On-site at our plant in Anthony, FL.

What you'll do

• Create SolidWorks models and fabrication drawings for ASME Section VIII vessels, B31.3 piping, skids, and sheet metal, under Engineering review

• Prepare CNC cutting files and flat patterns matched to our press brake tooling

• Build BOMs with complete material specifications for traceability

• Process customer drawings and revisions through our engineering change process

• Answer shop questions during fabrication and fold lessons learned back into the drawings

What you bring

• 2+ years of SolidWorks experience, including weldments and sheet metal

• Working knowledge of AWS weld symbols and drawing tolerances

• Clear communication with fabricators and welders

Preferred

• Exposure to ASME Section VIII or B31.3 work

• Hands-on fabrication experience

• DraftSight or AutoCAD

A technical certificate, associate's or bachelor's degree, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience is welcome. An engineering degree is not required.
