Mechanical Designer (Design Engineer)

About the role

You will design and detail mechanical project layouts and equipment for client projects, and prepare the technical and commercial documents that support each proposal. Priority will be spent on design, with occasional site visits.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D layouts, general arrangement and process flow drawings using AutoCAD
• Design racking, automation and showcase layouts based on client requirements, site measurements and load specifications
• Work with sales and design team to turn client needs into practical, cost-effective designs
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), review the costing accuracy and preparation of quotations
• Preparation of technical and commercial bid documents for project bidding
• Revise drawings based on client feedback and keep drawing records organized and up to date
• Coordinate with suppliers on technical details and specifications
• Finalize technical drawing upon project confirmation as the basis reference for project team execution
• Join occasional site visits for surveys, measurements and installation checks
• Book keeping of drawings in an organized manner format
