Mechanical Dismantler

We are a high-volume independent heavy duty equipment dealer that has operated in Abbotsford for the last 30 years. The business has experienced significant growth and looking to add to the team and seeking a Mechanical Dismantler. Duties might include:

• Dismantle excavators and other heavy equipment part by part by first prepping the machine to be dismantled, removing parts, cleaning parts to ensure they aren’t broken, putting parts away in proper location for inventory control clerk and advising the lead hand of work completed

• Help load and unload incoming/outbound shipments when needed.

• Maintain yard and shop organization with routine cleaning and organizing routines of putting tools and parts away at time of use, moving machines around yard to maximize space and organization, and cleaning the dismantle pad daily.

• Work with others in a safe and tidy environment

• A valid Class 5 driver’s license and forklift license an asset

• Able to follow routines and procedures and think independently and logically about next steps

• Able to work effectively outside regardless of the weather and in demanding working conditions that include moderate noise levels, exposure to mechanical parts, sharp metals, power tools, dust and fumes, and the operation of mobile equipment

• Willing to work extra hours to make deadlines

• This is a great opportunity for a Heavy Duty Apprentice looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and complete the required apprenticeship hours.
