Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman/Draughtsman with a strong background in aluminum fabrication and production. The ideal candidate should be proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD and have a good understanding of fabrication processes, technical drawings, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Develop fabrication drawings, shop drawings, assembly drawings, and technical details for aluminum products and structures.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, dimensions, and production requirements.
• Coordinate with the fabrication and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing.
• Review drawings and identify potential fabrication or installation issues.
• Prepare cutting lists, material take-offs, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Revise drawings based on site measurements, project requirements, and engineering feedback.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of all technical documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Mechanical Draftsman, preferably in aluminum fabrication.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of aluminum fabrication methods, materials, and production processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with engineering, fabrication, and production teams.
