A Mechanical Engineer opportunity is available through our client in the consumer goods industry. This temporary position involves designing, engineering, and evaluating mechanical models and prototypes for injection-molded plastic products and small home appliances. The role requires collaboration with global partners, managing procurement, and maintaining detailed documentation to ensure timely project delivery.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

• Complete mechanical design projects for injection-molded plastic products and mechanical subassemblies.
• Consult with international partners in the UK and China to develop products.
• Manage procurement of mechanical prototype parts needed for development.
• Derive, generate, and maintain the mechanical bill of materials and assembly documentation.
• Predict timelines for mechanical design tasks and ensure adherence to project schedules.

Mechanical Engineer Qualifications:

• Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering within consumer goods or similar industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical bill of materials and documentation practices.
• Ability to collaborate with international teams across different time zones.
• Skilled in predicting project timelines and managing design schedules.
• Experience with prototype procurement and mechanical evaluation processes.
