Mechanical Engineer – ACMV | Project Engineering

• Location: Macpherson
• Monday - Friday: 8.30am - 6pm
• Basic + Completion bonus + Variable Bonus

Key Responsibilities

Project & Technical Coordination

• Interpret contract specifications, technical drawings and client requirements to support project execution.
• Assist in coordinating ACMV works from design and installation through to testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate ACMV installation activities with architectural, electrical, plumbing and other building services trades.
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and other project stakeholders to resolve technical and coordination issues.

ACMV Engineering

• Perform ACMV performance and static pressure calculations.
• Assist with kitchen hood selection and exhaust system calculations.
• Carry out staircase pressurization calculations and related technical assessments.
• Assist with the sizing and selection of FCUs, AHUs, ductwork and chilled-water piping.
• Support technical reviews and provide engineering solutions to site-related issues.

Technical Documentation

• Prepare and review ACMV method statements, shop drawings and inspection checklists.
• Assist in preparing technical submissions for Variation Orders, damage claims and abortive works.
• Ensure technical documentation is prepared accurately and in accordance with project requirements.
• Support the preparation and updating of as-built drawings.

Testing & Commissioning

• Assist with testing, adjusting, balancing and commissioning of ACMV systems.
• Support troubleshooting and rectification works during testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate with relevant project teams to ensure ACMV systems meet required performance standards.

Requirements

• Minimum Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Candidates without experience are welcome to apply
• Candidates with experience in ACMV projects for industrial or commercial developments will be advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation system design.
• Familiarity with ACMV calculations, including FCU/AHU sizing, ductwork and chilled-water pipe sizing, will
• Willing to work on site and support Saturday work when required.
