Mechanical Engineer -- Automation Machinery (36446)

An automation machinery manufacturer in the Cincinnati, OH area is seeking a Mechanical Engineer responsible for designing automation systems and other custom equipment based on customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer requirements to confirm design specifications
• Create design and fabrication drawings based on customer needs
• Create bill of materials and coordinate parts ordering with purchasing department
• Coordinate with sales team to negotiate pricing with customers
• Manage mechanical portion of assigned projects to coordinate with different departments
• Communicate project status with customers, which includes visiting them at customer sites up to 15 percent of the time
• Assist Engineering Manager with various tasks as necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 8 years of mechanical engineering experience
• At least 5 years of project management experience
• Prefer experience with automation industry
• Experience 3D CAD programs, preferably AutoDesk Inventory or SolidWorks
• Familiarity with OSHA standards
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office
