Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving mechanical equipment and utilities in the dressing plant to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Inspect and maintain conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, boilers, and processing equipment.
• Support installation, testing, and improvement of new equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, Sanitation, and Maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and LOTO requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to mechanics and maintenance personnel.
• Monitor spare parts and maintenance requirements.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferably a Licensed/Registered Mechanical Engineer.
• At least 2–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, food processing, poultry dressing, or plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
