Mechanical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Maintenance engineer's responsibilities include daily breakdown & prevention maintenance, LLF, 5S & Kaizan & inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment, as well as ensuring safety compliance. They may also lead a team of maintenance workers.

Equipment maintenance :-

• Install and maintain equipment
• Conduct routine maintenance and planning for Preventive maintenance.
• Perform corrective maintenance
• Perform preventive maintenance and records for the same
• Replace worn-out parts
• Maintain the documents for internal as well as external audit purpose
• Regular maintenance of the machinery, equipment to minimize breakdowns and ensure smooth operations
• Safety compliance Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, Use lockout/ tag-out procedures, and Use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Troubleshooting Inspect and troubleshoot equipment, Identify the cause of a mechanical issue, Find a suitable solution, and Conduct fault analysis
• Daily LLF round & making points,
• Allocated area to maintain 5S,
• MOC Job,
• Update drawing as per requirement,
• Day to day reporting in a system,
• Ensuring Leakeges, Crecks & faliur under extra pressure & heat
• Ensure asset operate with maximum uptime
• Inspect and repair of static & rotating equipment
• Preventive maintenance - using tools of vibration analysis, thermography & oil vibration analysis to predict failure before then happen
• RCA investigate equipment failure to ensure they happen again by addressing the underlying mechanical issue
• rounds to check vibration overheating bearings, unusual noice in heating bearings unusual notice in rotate equipment,
• Productive identify & stopping leaks
• Monitoring alarm & equipment trends in control room
• Breakdown maintenance diagnose the decided issue
