The Role

Wright is hiring a mechanical engineer who will contribute to the development of Wright Electric’s motor and power programs. You'll help us build prototypes and production-ready units, and support the full design life cycle including design, procurement, fabrication, and test. The ideal candidate is assertive, pragmatic, hands-on, with excellent communication skills.

What You'll Do

• Mechanical design of innovative power generation systems and their components
• Prepare drawings and source custom parts from fabricators
• Build, integrate, and test motors, generators, and power systems

Qualifications

Required:

• 5 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required
• Demonstrated proficiency 3D CAD software, such as Solidworks or Onshape
• Experience producing mechanical drawings
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills
• Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the company to accomplish common goals

Desired :

• Prototyping
• Experience with engines and generators
• Familiarity with Industrial equipment, such as pumps and variable speed drives
• Capable of owning tasks from beginning to end

Location:

Malta, New York. On-site presence is required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
