Mechanical Engineer

• Interpret mechanical drawings and prepare Project Order Overview Forms (OOF), Bills of Materials (BOM) for fabrication, and select appropriate OEM parts.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues and drive effective problem-solving to identify and resolve root causes.
• Work closely with Production (QC, Fabrication, Machining and Assembly) teams on technical and process matters.
• Propose alternative solutions when process issues arise, balancing quality, cost and lead time.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and subcontractors on technical matters.
• Review customer drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
• Develop and modify mechanical designs, drawings and engineering documentation.
• Prepare 2D/3D CAD drawings and models according to project requirements.
• Support machining and manufacturing processes and resolve technical issues.
• Perform engineering calculations, material selection and design verification where required.
• Ensure engineering work complies with company procedures, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Perform any other duties and projects assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including welding, sheet-metal work and surface treatment.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, fabrication, tooling and manufacturing processes will be an advantage.
• Proficient in mechanical CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or GstarCAD.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Disciplined, systematic and detail-oriented, with a positive working attitude.
• Able to work independently as well as effectively in a team.
• Willing to learn and take on hands-on engineering responsibilities.
