Mechanical Engineer

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain mechanical systems within the building and facility.
• Operate, inspect and maintain HVAC systems, including Chillers, AHU, FCU, ventilation and exhaust systems.
• Monitor and maintain pumps, piping, water supply, drainage, plumbing and wastewater systems.
• Support maintenance of fire protection and other building mechanical systems.
• Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) plans.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance, energy consumption and utility usage, and identify opportunities for energy and cost reduction.
• Review technical drawings, equipment specifications and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, suppliers and service vendors.
• Inspect contractor work to ensure quality, safety and compliance with engineering standards.
• Support renovation, fit-out, CAPEX and improvement projects within the property.
• Coordinate with Operations, Facility Management, tenants and other departments to ensure smooth building operations.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history and reports through CMMS/BMS or related systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes and applicable engineering requirements.
• Support the building's 24/7 operational readiness, particularly during events or high-occupancy periods.

Must have

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
• 3–5+ years' experience in Building / Facility / M&E Engineering
• Strong knowledge of HVAC / Chiller / AHU / FCU
• Experience with pumps, piping, plumbing, water and wastewater systems
• Experience in PM / CM
• Contractor & vendor management
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems
• Able to read Mechanical / MEP drawings
• Experience in shopping mall, mixed-use, hotel, hospital, commercial building or large facility preferred
