Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the procurement function to ensure smooth and efficient purchasing activities. Manage supplier sourcing, vendor selection, quotation reviews, purchase order processing, and delivery coordination. Conduct price comparisons and negotiate favorable costs, payment arrangements, and delivery commitments with suppliers. Establish and maintain productive relationships with existing vendors while identifying potential new suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier sourcing, vendor selection, quotation reviews, purchase order processing, and delivery coordination
• Conduct price comparisons and negotiate favorable costs, payment arrangements, and delivery commitments with suppliers
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with existing vendors while identifying potential new suppliers
• Collaborate closely with warehouse, inventory, finance, and other departments to support operational purchasing requirements
• Monitor procurement requests, purchase orders, and supplier deliveries to ensure deadlines are consistently achieved
• Verify procurement records and purchasing documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards
• Generate procurement reports, supplier performance reviews, purchasing analyses, and operational updates for management
• Recommend improvements to procurement procedures that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier performance

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or any related discipline
• At least 2 - 3 years of supervisory experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations
• Solid understanding of procurement strategies, supplier negotiations, contract administration, vendor performance management, and cost-saving initiatives
• Capable of coordinating with different business units and external vendors to ensure uninterrupted procurement of materials, equipment, and services
• Familiar with inventory planning, replenishment schedules, procurement lead times, and purchasing documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate a procurement team
